ABOUT OUR SUPERLEAGUE PROFESSIONALS
Ally Housley, Superleague’s Wasps Netball and England U21 netballer

Ally’s journey started when she joined a netball club at the age of 10, before being selected for the County Athlete programme in 2011. Fast-forward to 2020 and Ally is currently part of the England U21 long squad preparing for the World Cup in June next year! Having finished her first year as a training partner at Wasps she has signed another year for the franchise and is looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Some key moments Ally has enjoyed have been the U19 England tour to Australia and New Zealand during Summer 2019, Fast 5 at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, and winning gold with some of the England seniors at the Netball Europe Open in September 2019.

Beth Ecuyer-Dale, Superleague’s Mavericks and England Roses Futures netballer

Beth started playing at a netball club when she was just 9 years old. She was then selected into the National Performance League for Surrey Storm at just 16 years old as well as the England National Academy. Beth plays for the Mavericks in the Superleague alongside her studies at Hertfordshire University. Earlier this year she was chosen to be part of the England Roses programme and is thrilled by this amazing opportunity.

Leah Goss, SuperLeague’s Wasps Netball player

Leah started her journey in the Kent Netball pathway, like so many of our Beacons players, before working her way through the Surrey Storm NPL, being a part of the U19 and U21 squads.  Her debut for the SuperLeague side was in 2018/19 and she has played in the England Universities team in 2019 as part of The Home Nations.  Leah recently moved from Surrey Storm to Wasps Netball for the 2020/21 SuperLeague season and is excited to take the next step in her netball journey.

Kira Rothwell, Superleague’s London Pulse, England U21 and England Roses Futures player

Kira Rothwell has been on the international scene since she was selected for the EN National Academy back in 2016 and has since built a strong reputation for her country and the Superleague with London Pulse.  Kira was named in the Pulse’s VNSL squad for the 2020 season after making her league debut in 2019 and winning the NPL Tournament with the franchise’s U21 side in the same year.  Her first appearances at a senior international competition was the Netball Europe Open in 2019 and she has been selected for the U21 long squad for the World Youth Cup in 2021.

Grace Sullivan, Superleague’s Surrey Storm player

Grace started her netball journey at Surrey Storm at the age of 14 where she played in her age group in the U15 Squad, after a very short time she was asked to trial for the U19 NPL squad where she was successfully selected. At just 16 her netball career was already flying as a member of the Surrey Storm U21 NPL team. After leaving school Grace moved to Loughborough University to continue her studies and joined Loughborough Lighting in both their U19 and U21 squads. After returning to the area she signed her first professional Superleague contract for Surrey Storm and is very excited for what this season ahead!
