We currently have 5 squads playing in the North West Kent League, as well as U12 and U14 junior squads that compete in the Rising Stars netball league. Trials take place to select players for these teams in August and September. Girls that are selected will represent the club and play on Saturdays at Bromley High School. Squad girls train on a Tuesday evening at either 6.30pm – 8.15pm or 8.15pm – 9.30pm, dependent on which team they have been selected for.
Training is an essential part of development not only as an individual but vital to ensure the team is working as a well-oiled machine. Girls are expected to be at training every week. If they are unable to attend they must inform their coach or team manager. All squad girls are required to own their own Beacons kit which is to be worn at all matches.
Playing dress or skirt and top
Other required kit:
Long white ankle socks
Other warm layers in cold weather
Please note: Hair must be tied up with all loose bits clipped or tied up out of the players face. Finger nails must be kept short and no jewellery can be worn. These guidelines are set by England Netball and any players not following these guidelines will be unable to participate in matches.
A good team requires, dedication, commitment, hard work, creativity, passion and team work, I believe we have this at Beacons and I am very excited to see how all of the teams get on this season.
