11.30am – 1.30pm Years 9 & 10
2pm – 4pm Year 11 +
Monday 21st September

Thursday 24th September

Location:
St Dunstans College Jubilee Ground, Canadian Avenue, Catford, SE6 4SW
There are two trials per age group. We would like all players to attend BOTH sessions in their relevant age group. If there is a reason that players cannot attend one of the dates, then they will still be considered, but it will be detrimental to their trial as it will limit the time the selectors will get to see them playing.
Compulsory Preparation
We will be running some Match Play sessions in September which will provide players with the opportunity to get some valuable match play and small sided invasion game practice. We will be sending out information about these days very soon.
Our Pre-Season training programme is running through September right up to the trial dates and provide another opportunity for trialists to improve technique, fitness and skills.
To ensure all players are ready to trial both from a physical perspective (to prevent possible injuries), and to ensure all players are aware of the new rules and game modifications, it is compulsory that all trialists should have attended a minimum of one Match Play session or 2 Pre Season training sessions. It is clear that the more training the players attend in advance of the trials the more beneficial it will be to their performance on the day and allow them to be as prepared as they can be.

What does being a squad member involve?
If your daughter is selected into the Beacons squads we expect a high level of commitment. We expect the girls to be at the appropriate training session every week and to be available for matches on Saturdays at Bromley High School. Please click below for further information about training and expectations.
Training and Expectations
We are hoping our training venue and structure will be the same as last year, however this is still very much dependent on government restrictions and venue availability. Please see our proposed venue and structure below:
Venue: St Dunstans College
Junior: Thursday evenings 6.15pm – 7.45pm
Intermediate: Tuesday evening 6.15pm – 7.45pm
Senior: Tuesday evenings 7.30pm – 9.15pm
(NB: this information is subject to change)
Sign ups and attendance at our trials have previously been extremely high so please be aware that not all attendees will be selected. Being part of a Beacons squad is highly competitive with matches at a high level of play, so please consider this when deciding to register.
Please note that you are not guaranteed a place if you have been in a squad already. Over the past two seasons in the U12 and U14 age categories we have had more than double the amount of trialists for the number of spaces available. We do ask that parents manage expectations of players as we do not want the trialling process to be a negative experience for anyone if they are not selected this year.
Trialling for the squads is completely optional, if you do not want to trial this year you will be welcome to attend our training academies for the season ahead.
